Sony

Sony is a huge multinational conglomerate corporation based in Japan, and it’s one of the leading manufacturers in electronic products. In 2001, the Sony Corporation made a joint venture with Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson, to which they formed the handset/phone division Sony Ericsson. It wasn’t until October of 2011 when Sony announced that they would acquire Sony Ericsson for themselves, making it a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony. By February 2012, Sony had completely acquisition of Sony Ericsson, and simply named the new company “Sony Mobile Communications.”The very first phone to be released under the new Sony only mobile company was the Sony Xperia S.
